Why did you take these photos? My daughter is a Westside dancer. I photographed her at shows and competitions with my simple point-and-shoot camera, resulting in a collection of unsatisfactory images. I realized that I would never get decent photos that way, so I invested in a digital SLR and a good lens. This new setup worked very well, and at first I just took pictures of my daughter. Later, I discovered that it's great fun to photograph other dancers, too. Now I'm addicted and thus compelled to photograph every dance I see. Why are you sharing your photos with me? At the risk of sounding high-falutin', I must tell you that these are not merely action photos--they are windows into the souls and spirits of dancers in action, fleeting moments that are highly worthy of capture. Action photos of my daughter are priceless to me and it's obvious that other parents feel the same way. This has been confirmed by many of my friends, who seem very appreciative when I email them, or give them a CD of, photos of their dancers. I like to share my photos with appreciative viewers and I am fortunate (actually, unfortunate in this case) to have lots of dance parent friends and acquaintances--far too many to share photos with via email and CD. This gallery enables me to share photos with everyone. How much do prints cost, and what sizes are available? Prints are available in these standard sizes: 4x6 for $5, 5x7 for $8, 8x10 and 8x12 for $10, or if you like to think big, 20x30 for $30. All images are color corrected and cropped before printing. Images are also available as uncorrected JPEG files: 1-3 for $6, 4 or more for $5, or all JPEGs from a dance performance for $50. Special requests are welcome, too. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary (e.g., unusual print size, montage or other custom composition), please contact me. How do I order prints? Download and print the Photo Order Form. As you browse images in the gallery, you will see an image identifier above the image you are viewing. To order a print, write its identifier on the order form. Turn in the completed order form and your payment at the front desk in Westside's lobby. Your prints will be available at Westside's front desk. Please allow two to four weeks for order processing. I am in love with one of your photos but I honestly can't afford to buy a print. Can you help me? Yes, I will send you a free photo of your dancer upon request. My goal is to deliver great photos to dance parents at affordable prices. If "affordable" equates to "free" for you, then so be it. It doesn't cost me anything (except time) to email you a photo and I truly want you to have the photos you want. I must ask you, though, to please not abuse my generosity. Also, I only give freebies to my friends, so if we've never met, you must say hello to me the next time you see me. Do your images have copyright restrictions? Yes.
